Veteran family members at Hopewell Early Childhood School in West Chester can join their students for coffee, treats and a craft at the school's "Heroes Among Heroes" celebration.

The Veterans Day event, announced on the school's website, is open to veterans who are family members of Hopewell students. The school's announcement does not list a specific date. Families should check ParentSquare for their child's assigned time slot and sign-up details.

Time slots are organized by teacher, and students cannot be pulled from classrooms at other times. The school asked families to check their child's slot carefully before registering.

Sign-ups are for veterans only. A separate event called "Grateful for Grownups" will welcome other family members later in the month.

When registering through ParentSquare, families should include their student in the total headcount. One veteran plus one student equals two people, the school said. The student's name should go in the sign-up's "short note" field.

The event is not a lunch. The school asked families not to bring outside food.

Families with questions can reach Principal Becky Francko's office at (513) 777-6128.
