Whole Foods Market will open a 40,000-square-foot store at 8310 Liberty Way in West Chester on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The new location is a relocation from the chain's Mason store, which has served shoppers since 2007.
Store Team Leader Rachel Abrams will lead the West Chester location, according to a Whole Foods press release.
Doors open at 9 a.m. on Nov. 18. Regular hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Liberty tote bag made from recycled textiles and a Secret Saver coupon with savings up to $100 off. Opening morning will also feature coffee from Cincinnati-based Deeper Roots Coffee and samples from local and national suppliers, including cold-pressed juices from Urban Remedy.
The store's shelves will carry more than 300 products from Ohio and neighboring states. Lillian Huber, the company's forager for local and emerging brands, helped source the selection. Local suppliers named in the press release include Hartzler Family Dairy for milk, Snowville Creamery for lactose-free cheeses, Ohio City Pasta for fresh ravioli and Don Popps Honey Farm for honey.
The beverage section will stock more than 700 wines and 270 craft beers, with local options from Columbus Brewing Co., Rhinegeist Brewery and Sonder Brewing.
A prepared foods department will offer hot food and salad bars, fresh pizza by the slice, a gourmet sandwich counter and sushi rolled daily. The bakery will bake bread each day and carry items including zucchini bread from Evergreen Holistic.
To mark the opening, Whole Foods is providing a food and monetary donation to La Soupe, a Cincinnati nonprofit that rescues surplus food and turns it into meals for families in need. La Soupe already makes regular surplus food pickups from local Whole Foods stores, according to the press release. The nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van through the chain's Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program.
WLWT first reported the planned opening.
The Mason store's closing date has not been announced.
