Lakota families in West Chester Township and Liberty Township have four back-to-school events on the calendar before classes resume in August.

Saturday, Aug. 1 — Back-to-School Block Party at Liberty Center. Free activities from noon to 2 p.m. in The Park, including inflatables, face painting, a live DJ, and character meet-and-greets.

Thursday, Aug. 6 — Liberty Junior School schedule pickup. Seventh- and eighth-graders pick up schedules, tour the building, find lockers, and collect Chromebooks. Last names A-L: 8:30 to 11 a.m. Last names M-Z: noon to 2:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 7 — Lakota Back-to-School Fair at VanGorden Elementary, 6475 LeSourdsville-West Chester Road. The district's first-ever fair for new Lakota families runs 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. No registration required. Staff will answer questions about transportation, meals, technology, and community resources.

Tuesday, Aug. 11 — Heritage ECS Open House, 5052 Hamilton Mason Road, Liberty Township. Families meet teachers, see classrooms, and drop off supplies and medications. Last names A-L: 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Last names M-Z: 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Phone: (513) 863-7060.
