The T-Hawk Hustle 5K Run/Walk returns to Lakota East High School on Sunday, Oct. 25. Ten dollars of every registration goes to the Lakota East sports team of the runner's choice.
The Lakota East Athletic Boosters and the school's cross country team are hosting the fundraiser, which is open to all community members. Proceeds benefit Lakota East athletic programs, including the Lakota East Upbeat Club, the band booster organization that supports the school's band programs.
Registration costs $45 per person. Anyone who signs up by Thursday, Oct. 1 receives a free race shirt. After that deadline, shirts will not be included, though a limited number will be available on race day for $15 each, according to the event's RunSignUp page.
The 5K starts at 8 a.m. Awards follow at 9 a.m., and participants must be present to claim them.
Age groups span seven brackets: 14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59 and 60 and older.
Runners and walkers can pick up their race packets on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lakota East High School main building, just inside the main entrance doors. Packet pickup and day-of registration also open at 7 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the football field ticket entrance.
