Fire crews from multiple townships will square off over kettles of chili at Liberty Center on Sunday, Oct. 4, when the C3OHIO Firefighter Chili Cook-Off returns for its fifth year.

The cook-off runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Taylor Garage. A Liberty Center Facebook post names Liberty Township, West Chester Township, Deerfield Township and Fairfield Township among the departments competing for the community's vote.

Liberty Township and West Chester Township co-host the event, which pairs again with Liberty Township's Spot-A-Truck. The township said on X on Thursday, Sept. 24, that the day also includes free car seat safety checks and free Kona Ice.

No admission price or chili-tasting fee has been announced. The Liberty Township civic alert does not list a cost.
