Liberty Township property owners on Cincinnati Dayton Road and Rockdale Road will learn whether they can move forward with a church sanctuary addition and a front-yard fence when the Board of Zoning Appeals meets Tuesday, August 11, at 6 p.m. at 5021 Winners Circle Drive.
The five-member board, chaired by Andrew Schweier, has two cases on its agenda posted July 28 on the township website.
Case BZA26-007: The River Church sanctuary addition
The River Church at 5546 Cincinnati Dayton Road is asking to amend a conditional use approval it received earlier in 2026 for a new sanctuary. The congregation first came before the BZA as case BZA26-003, seeking approval for a sanctuary addition and parking lot expansion, according to the archived May 12 agenda. The August 11 request covers only the sanctuary addition.
Case BZA26-008: Front-yard fence variance
Dallas Daniel, who owns property at 4991 Rockdale Road, is requesting a variance to allow a fence to encroach into the front yard. Township zoning rules restrict fence placement in front yards; Daniel needs board approval to deviate from that standard.
Board members and other business
Other board members listed on the August 11 agenda are Vice Chairman Warren Curry Jr., Chuck Springmyer, Tom Capuano, Jim Swindler, and alternates Richard McKinney and Brienne Fey. The board will also consider approval of meeting minutes and notices of decision from its May 12 and July 14 meetings.
