West Chester Township police are investigating after two siblings, ages 3 and 4, were found at the bottom of a pool Monday, Sept. 7, on Labor Day evening.

A township spokesperson said the first call came in around 5:45 p.m. in the 7700 block of Cedar Creek Drive, WLWT reported. A township sergeant said the two children were pulled from the pool.

Both were taken to UC West Chester Hospital and then flown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Police said both children were breathing.

Investigators said the incident appears to have been accidental. No details about how the children entered the pool have been released.

West Chester Township had not posted an official statement as of Sept. 8. An updated condition report for the children has not been confirmed.
