Three development proposals go before the West Chester Township Zoning Commission on Monday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. at Township Hall, 9113 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, according to the township's revised agenda published Sunday, Sept. 20.

The largest request comes from the International Academy of Cincinnati, a chartered nonpublic school serving preschool through eighth grade on the 18-acre campus of the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati. The academy is seeking Major Change and Preliminary Development Plan approval to use existing buildings and add two new play areas across nine lots totaling 4.015 acres at 7590–7606 Tylers Place Blvd.

A separate case involves the Keefe Property at Lots 1 and 13 of The Oaks, near the I-75/Liberty Way interchange. That applicant wants Major Change and Preliminary Development Plan approval for a mixed-use project with restaurant, retail and commercial space on 1.66 acres along Liberty Way and Oak Lane.

The third case is a Revised Final Development Plan for Gates of West Chester at 9774 Cincinnati Columbus Road. The proposal calls for a 6,710-square-foot commercial building and 25 two-story townhome units with basements. The "revised" designation means the commission previously approved a plan for the site. Details of that original approval were not included in the agenda.

Two more items round out the docket. The West Chester Township Board of Trustees initiated a text amendment to the 2025 Zoning Resolution and an amendment to the 2025 Zoning Map. Both are at the initiation stage only, meaning no vote on the substance is expected Monday.

A third trustee-initiated case, a text amendment to the 2025 Comprehensive Land Use Plan, appeared on an earlier draft agenda but was dropped from the revised version.

The next Zoning Commission meeting is Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. Residents can attend in person at Township Hall.
