The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in West Chester Township sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday, July 8, and shut down two southbound lanes.
Troopers responded to the crash at about 1:24 p.m. on I-75 southbound near mile marker 21 in Butler County. The crash began in the right lane and involved four vehicles, including a Rumpke trash truck.
Two people were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Just one day later, several lanes on I-75 were closed again when a semi-truck caught fire in Liberty Township at about 6:20 p.m. near Liberty Way, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Lanes had reopened by late Thursday night. Traffic was backed up for miles but no injuries were reported.
