The Cherokee PTA holds its first Dine to Donate fundraiser of the school year on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Wendy's at 4241 Hamilton Middletown Road in Liberty Township.
The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Twenty percent of each sale goes back to the PTA, but customers must present or mention the Wendy's flyer posted on the school's website when ordering for the donation to count.
Funds raised support programs the PTA runs throughout the school year. According to the group's September meeting announcement, those include playground equipment, the school's Innovation Hub, Family Fun Nights, author visits, symphony performances, science programs and after-school activities.
The PTA's September general meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Cherokee Innovation Hub. The group says involvement is open to all parents and guardians, including those who cannot attend meetings in person.
