Lakota East girls golf has rattled off four straight invitational titles to open the 2026 fall season, establishing the Lady Hawks as one of the area's top programs before September even arrives.

The Liberty Township squad captured championships at the Lady Explorer Invitational, the Sycamore Invitational at Walden Ponds Golf Club on Aug. 4, the Anderson Invitational and the Lakota East Invitational at Twin Run Golf Club on Aug. 18, according to the school's athletics site.

Four wins. No losses.

Junior captain Jenna Schmidt, the team's No. 1 player, has driven much of that run. Schmidt earned medalist honors at two of the four events and finished as individual runner-up at a third. Her summer form hinted at what was coming: she won the GCGA 64th Metropolitan Junior Girls Championship on June 29–30 with rounds of 72 and 73 for a 145 total.

Schmidt's consistency across four different courses and fields has anchored a team effort that has yet to produce a finish worse than first place through the opening month of the season.

The schedule stays busy. East faces Eaton/Fenwick on Wednesday, Aug. 26, then competes at the Springboro Invitational on Thursday, Aug. 27. The Greater Miami Conference tournament is listed on Sycamore's schedule for Sept. 8–9 at Walden Ponds Golf Club, which would give the Lady Hawks their next major conference test.

East's next chance to extend the streak comes Thursday at Springboro.
