Liberty Center's Unity Hall and Sabin Hall will reopen under professional event management when Events by Golden Chic hosts a public open house and ribbon cutting on Saturday, Sept. 26, from noon to 3 p.m.

The event marks the formal debut of a partnership that puts the two venue spaces under turnkey management for the first time, according to a REBusinessOnline report published Aug. 17. Events by Golden Chic will handle bookings for corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, nonprofit galas and private celebrations at the Liberty Township property.

Sabin Hall spans 5,200 square feet, according to REBusinessOnline. The space accommodates up to 200 guests in theater seating, 160 banquet-style or 100 in classroom layout, according to Liberty Center's website. Unity Hall's dimensions have not been publicly listed.

The open house takes place on the rooftop above Kona Grill at 7544 Gibson St., Liberty Township. Attendees can tour both renovated spaces, take photos, sample light bites and learn about special event-booking discounts, according to Liberty Center's event listing.

The venue is free to visit.

Part of a $20 million-plus investment

The partnership is one piece of a broader renovation wave at the 64-acre mixed-use campus. Liberty Center's owner, Apollo, and asset manager Centennial (powered by Lincoln) have committed more than $20 million in completed, ongoing and planned upgrades, REBusinessOnline reported.

Other projects in that pipeline include Dick's Sporting Goods adding batting cages and golf simulators as part of a 10-year lease extension, B&B Theatres installing ScreenX, 4DX and screenplay! experiences, and a new outparcel retail building that brought Sephora and Sweetgreen to the property. Development approvals for 300 apartment units and a full-service hotel have also been secured.

Sabin Hall has served as a community gathering space before. MidPointe Library used it as the destination for its "Live the Dream: Our Declaration of Unity" march on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in January 2026.
