A red-and-white striped big top is up at Liberty Center, and the show inside opens Thursday, Aug. 13.
Venardos Circus brings its production "ALICE" to 7100 Foundry Row in Liberty Township for 14 performances running through Aug. 23. The animal-free, Broadway-style circus reimagines Alice in Wonderland with acrobats, aerialists, hand balancers, jugglers and comedians performing under the tent, according to Liberty Center's event listing.
The circus was founded by Kevin Venardos, a former Ringling Bros. ringmaster who built the company around a no-animal format.
Tickets are available at venardoscircus.com. Doors open one hour before each performance.
Free tickets: Instagram sweepstakes closes Friday
Liberty Center is giving away a family four-pack of tickets through an Instagram sweepstakes that opened Thursday, Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. and closes Friday, Aug. 14 at 1 p.m.
To enter, Ohio residents 18 and older must like the sweepstakes post, follow @libertycenterohio on Instagram and tag at least three friends in the comments. No purchase is necessary. The winner will be announced Friday, Aug. 14 in the post's comments and contacted by direct message. The prize is good for either the Aug. 20 or Aug. 21 evening performance.
