Two turn lanes at Cincinnati-Dayton Road and Mauds Hughes Road in West Chester Township will close Tuesday, Nov. 3, for traffic signal maintenance.
The Butler County Engineer's Office said the work will begin at approximately 10 a.m. and last about an hour. The northbound right-turn lane on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and the southbound left-turn lane on Mauds Hughes Road will shut down during that window.
Both closures will block vehicles from turning toward the railroad underpass, according to the engineer's office.
The timing lands on Election Day. Polls in Butler County are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., so the closure falls well within voting hours. Drivers heading to polling locations through that intersection should plan extra time or find another route. As we reported Oct. 27, Lakota Local School District students also have the day off Nov. 3, which could shift traffic patterns in the area.
The engineer's office encouraged motorists to use an alternate route during the closure. No specific detour was listed.
The Butler County Engineer's Office posted the advisory on Facebook and said drivers can check its website, Facebook page or X account (@bceonews) for possible date or status changes.
